One man dopes a woman then rapes her.
Another man wants to show him leniency in sentencing because, he'd never done that before...
Another man renders a lenient sentence because... one other man wanted it, and the other man asked for it, and the woman was unconscious.

You know what keeps me up late nights (early mornings) catatonic in my studio? Wondering how supposedly honorable men, citizen-leaders working for their people, can, after months or years of vocal and public displeasure at, distrust of, and/or simple dislike of the man, support the current leader of the Republican run at the Presidency. Could it be that they are so interested in "winning" that working for their electorate can, for them, have less or no place?
I mean, I know he's won this circus, but look at who he was pleasing and who he was running against.
After he won those primaries what could he have promised these 'honorable' men that would convince them immediately that they'd been wrong to tell truth about him before? What!
Muhammad Ali died. I knew he wasn't well. That's been a surprise since I heard it. He was always SO great. I collected a few more photos of him to add to the collection I started back when we were both kids.
Though it hurt to know he's 'gone'. At my age, more of that, lose of lifelong heroes and acquaintances will increase, unless I beat them outta here.
Open letter to the Noose media
You all wring your hands, publicly, often about the surprise, the persistence, the ugliness, the rancor, the prejudice and the racism of your favorite candidate, Dam Old Rump.
You don't think you fool us, do you? He is so successful and will probably continue to be because you do such an excellent job of selling him. Every hour of every day in every city, town, park and hall. He, with all his money (that he might have), couldn't pay for the coverage you're giving him under the cover of outrage and disdain.
It may be important to understand that, to a degree, the conservatives in our society, in our politcs, are performing just as they should. In general, they fear change more than they despise it. Like most citizens, they prefer to be left alone, and if treated that way, want nor cause distress or upheaval. On the other hand (what is the modern cliche for this) if prompted, they will clamor for the status quo - whatever they may perceive or be told that is. It is their job as citizens to make 'progressives' hone their thinking and rhetoric to better conceive and plan and explain and execute change. Neither side should be set to achieve at any expense.
When I was an easily scared little kid, one of the biggest ideas we and (our parents) scared ourselves with was "the boogeyman". He was almost nondescript, sort of indescribably malicious - maybe hairy, maybe bad-toothed, maybe oversized, definitely ugly, definitely scary, hungry, and mean... to children. Of course this was before we knew much about the wide range of hunger; that it could mean more than money. Our parents were just beginning to teach us about characteristics of bad behavior and how counterproductive or even painfully, if not unhealthily, hazardous to well-being and happiness. A teaching tool.
