This article was sitting beside one sent to me by my friend Steve.

It points out a reason I keep warning complacent voter friends of mine that, if we want to surely prevent the overturning of this country to greedy, Fascist, Nazi bigots, believing in Truth and Goodness is not going to be enough! Most of the Greedy Ones Party, I think, don't mean to do the FascNazi bit, but they're no more aware of the true danger than too many of the rest of us.
The news today is of a travel advisory (warning) to the U.S. from the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. That is, a warning to the 91% Black population of the Bahamas to beware of travel to America. Of course, anyone claiming residence in the island paradise archipelago of the Bahamas, prolly has little good reason to travel to here.
Of course, we already express, with dwindling hopes, residence advisories here, for going to school, to the mall, to the grocery store, to the gym… for driving/riding in a car, for standing in your front yard. Nothing rational works.
The reason it's so difficult to get Republicans to say how they feel about Trump is that they haven't figured out whether the Party, by winning the election, will then have enough control of the government that they can control the behavior of their President. They have no way of predicting what he will do or how he will do it. He lies; he takes, he cheats, he lies. With all the evidence of his disdain for all that's not already his, with all the evidence of his lack of knowledge about legislation, negotiation, management, governance, and many other necessities of presidency, they still cannot decide whether it is better to govern than to "win." After all, if they "win" they will have to work. They won't be able to merely refuse to choose; refuse to plan, refuse to negotiate, refuse to serve their voters rather than their benefactors.
Here's a scary, a bizarre, improbable thought...
But after all, it is 2016.
Maybe dT is a true patriot, and his aim is not merely to destroy the GOP, or to become President of the United States.
Perhaps his goal is to show the GOP for what it has become, for what, with its regressive center and culture phobic demeanor, it is.
Nothing he has said or done is different from what we have seen from Republicans actively and openly for the last 12 years, and covertly, slyly for at least a generation before that. Whether you take his "yes" or "no" response, his "I hate that" or "I love that" response on any issue, the GOP has done exactly the same to win a vote more often than it has provided any answer as a valid or necessary solution to a problem.
And just as the GOP has said for eight years that they will replace 'Obamacare', which is NOT its real name - (it's a name they tacked on to denigrate [I love that word... sorta] the program, just like dT does to everyone or thing he doesn't like). Hmmmm...
Anyway, the GOP will first, rid us of something working, then replace it with... Well we'll have to wait until they create a program of some kind, some time for sure, maybe. If we really need it and it doesn't cost too much.
For the last couple years I've been developing my skills as a househusband. The skills involved can give you a wholly different perspective on domestic life. Those skills in practice can just hurt!
They can also teach.
One of the things I wonder, still and again, about the Republican Party and its members is whether any of these men ever 'simply' cooked a full meal? I don't think so!
Knowing is not enough, even if it is really knowing. One can be forgiven... or maybe not, for believing that these mistakes of behavior, these entertainments of scandal and inequality will, by themselves, fall harmlessly by the wayside of a stumble toward good government. Good citizenship, just like good exercise or good religion, requires practice. Why then wouldn't good government.
If Democratic policy is indeed better than Republican policy, then it needs to stand up and crow so. Hints aren't enough; nor is equanimity! Truth, if there is such, needs to be as easily found as lies, or it'll find less exposure by followers or leaders. Following requires leading; leading is helped by light. Light is produced by the fires of Hell as well as the light of Heaven. Followers need to go more than they need to know (though more knowing is better); look at the various species of Duck followers for proof.
